Home Care Support Worker
Work Type: Casual
Location: NSW - Sutherland Shire and surrounding suburbs
McVrespite Care is growing!
As a Support Worker you will care for our aged and disability clients within their home and in community spaces. Successful applicants will possess excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently. Prior experience in aged and disability care is desirable but not essential.
Duties:
Personal care - assisting with showering, dressing, eating and other care (as determined by the clients needs).
Domestic house work.
Transportation - taking clients to and from appointments, shops and recreational outings.
Respite care.
High need care - hoisting, bowel care, etc.
And meeting company standards to ensure safety for both themselves and the client.
Requirements
Certificate III/IV in Aged, Disability or Community Care, or ability to obtain.
NSW C Class Motor Vehicle Licence
NSW registered and insured motor vehicle
Effective communication skills.
Current First Aid Certificate (or willing to obtain)
National Police check (or willing to obtain)
Current Working with Children Check Clearance (or willing to obtain)
Desirable
Previous experience in Disability and Aged Care.
